A unproductively productive kind of day

Today is one of those days where I've gotten stuff done that needs to be done, but I feel like I barely scratched the surface. My To-Do list is long at the moment and seems to keep getting longer and more complicated as I go along.
When life feels a bit overwhelming like it feels at the moment, I've learnt a few tips in the past few weeks to make it a bit more manageable.

1. Family makes everything look a lot more OK and easier. I am so thankful to have been blessed with an amazing family who will do anything to support and help me. God did very well thinking that one up.

2. Friends are what make life sweeter.

3. 'How do you eat an elephant? - One bite at a time.' When things seem a little bit too much, breaking it all down into bite-size pieces to deal with makes it a much easier task than trying to take on a giant all at once.

4. 'The Lord's love never ends; His mercies never stop. They are new every morning; Lord, Your loyalty is great. I say to myself, "The Lord is mine so I hope in Him." The Lord is good to those who hope in Him, to those who seek Him. It is good to wait quietly for the Lord to save.' - Lamentations 3:22-26

Every day is a new day and it's the Lord who gives us the strength to master the tasks set in front of us. It is in Him that we have hope which is what keeps us going.

And to lighten the mood, it's fill in the blank Friday!

1. The most selfless thing I've ever done was love. Because loving is putting someone above yourself, your wishes and your feelings and only looking out for their best. I fail at this one regularly, but I'm learning.

2. When it comes to working out I fail. I start thinks like running with bravado and motivation only for something to disrupt my routine and that's the end of that. The only form of working out I actually stuck at was dance while I was at school. I trained a few times a week and absolutely loved it. I'm going to try and find somewhere to start that again soon. Other than that, I do a lot of walking! That is a very practical work out!

3. A woman should always be confident in herself and who God made her to be in order to be independent and strong, but soft enough to be vulnerable and let people in so they can feel welcome and loved .

4. I wish I could have an endless pot of money and then I'd go traveling, buy all the clothes I love, visit people I love who live far away and buy lots of presents and coffee and dinners for them.

5. A best friend is someone who you can talk to about anything, has seen you at your worst and will still want to hang out with you and love you and is there for you through anything. And of course, also someone who you can go shopping with, have slumber parties with and who you can just sit around with doing essentially nothing and talking about nonsense but it's fine cos you love it.

6. I can't get enough of tea and fresh coffee. I could literally drink cup after cup after cup in this autumn weather!

7. This weekend I am going to enjoy the sunny autumn weather, do some studying, hang out with friends and maybe do some baking.

XOXO

Fill in the blanks!

For me, this has turned into 'Fill in the blank Saturday, rather than Friday. Still works though.
Join in with Lauren over at The little things we do!

1. My current obsession is PINTEREST! I could literally spend hours on that beauty of a website. Whoever came up with it is a genius! Take a look! Also I am currently obsessed with The Rihanna song 'Cheers'. That's a more random current obsession.

2. Friends, fun and being loved make me happy.

3. My greatest strength is my laid-back nature .

4. Procrastination and lateness are my greatest weaknesses.

5. My life is blessed. I am in a transition period at the moment, working out where things are to fit and what my life will look like in this new phase, but I am none the less blessed with amazing and supportive family and friends.

6. In high school I was happy! I really enjoyed it! I had lots of friends and had an awesome social life, was involved in lots of different things and generally had a lot of fun! I loved it and actually miss it at times!

7. When I'm super tired I lose all energy and just lounge about grumpily or become crazy, talking about anything and everything, making no sense and generally finding myself in a state of confusion.

We are having an indian summer here rather than autumn in October, so I'm enjoying the HEAT!
Have an awesomely lovely weekend!
